Chapter 1
From:
- To:
- ¶ Páulus, a delegate of
Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed, according to Yâ-hwéh our Deliverer’s
command, even of the Sovereign Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed, our
Hope;
- To Timótheos, a legitimate son
by the persuasion, be favor, mercy, and peace from the
Mighty One, Father of us and of the Anointed Yâhuwshúa` our Sovereign.
Do not heed “Yehuwthím” myths (incl.
name substitutions)
- ¶ Just as I urged you to remain within ’Éphesos, en route
into Makedonía, in order that you might order some to not teach different
doctrines,
- And that you not pay attention
to the innumerable myths and genealogies, which bring out
questionings rather than the edification of Yâ-hwéh’s house, which
is done by persuasion,
- So the goal of the order
is affectionate love from a
cleansed heart and from a good conscience and from unfaked
persuasion,
- From which some, having missed
the mark, are turned away to an empty
profitless word, [see also 6: 20-21]
- Wishing to be instructors of
the Law; not understanding neither what
they say, nor about what they strongly affirm!*
The future virtuous use of the Law is part of the Glad
Tidings
- Yet we do acknowledge that the Law is virtuous, when
One might use it according to the Towrâ´h (Law);
- Discerning this: that the
Law shall not be applied against
a righteous one, but rather
against those lawless and insubordinate, irreverent and sinful, against
those impure and heathenish ones, against father-murderers and mother-murderers,
against murderers of man,
- Male whores, men who lie with
men as if with women, enslavers of sons of freedom, liars,
perjurers, and if any other thing is opposed to sound instruction,
- According to the glad
tidings of the honor of the supremely blessed Mighty Ones,
with which I was entrusted.
Páulus the prime example of the mercy of the Word
- Yet I thank Him Who gave me
Force, the Anointed Yâhuwshúa`, our Sovereign, because He
deemed me trustworthy, appointing me for the service of attending Him,
- When I previously had been a
scorner and persecutor and insolent; nevertheless I was shown mercy,
because when I did not acknowledge Him, I acted because of
unbelief.
- Yet the favor of our Sovereign
overwhelmed my persuasion, even the affectionate love which
is within the Anointed Yâhuwshúa`!
- The Word is reliable, and worthy of the acceptance of
all: that the Anointed Yâhuwshúa` came into the world to deliver sinners, of whom I am the foremost! [Meaning of Yâhuwshúa`: “Yâ-hwéh is deliverance/wealth”]
- Nevertheless, due to this Word
I was shown mercy in order that within me, the foremost sinner, all the longsuffering of the
Anointed Yâhuwshúa` might be demonstrated as an example for the ones being
about to believe on Him for endless life!
- So for the King of the ages, for He Who is incorruptible and
unseen, yet Who is One ’Elohíym
(Mighty Ones), might be the esteem and honor for the ages of
the ages, ’Âmë´n (Certainly)!
The Charge:
Announce the true Word and persuasion; Avoid false
names and doubt-provoking myths
- ¶ This is the charge I
commit to you, my son Timótheos, according to the preceding
predictions about you: that you might go to war the warfare of virtue by
them,
- By maintaining the
persuasion and a good conscience, which some having shoved it away from
them, have become empty from the persuasion.
- Of whom are Humenáios and
’Aléxandros, whom I gave over to the Adversary in order that they may be
disciplined not to scorn [see also 1
Qorinthíym 5: 5].
Chapter 2
Prayer request for mankind
- ¶ Therefore I implore, foremost
of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings
to be made for all sons of ’Âthâ´m:
- For kings, and all that are in
prominence in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all
reverence of Yâ-hwéh and venerableness,
- For this is a virtue, and
acceptable in the sight of our Deliverer, Yâ-hwéh,
- Who wishes all sons of ’Âthâ´m
to be delivered and to come to the acknowledgement of the
Truth.
- For
Yâ-hwéh is One, and One is a Mediator of the Mighty One and the sons of ’Âthâ´m: the
Anointed Son of ’Âthâ´m, Yâhuwshúa`,
- Who gave His Self a ransom for
all: the testimony for His own times to come,
- Unto which I was appointed a
herald and delegate — I speak the Truth; I do not lie — to be an instructor of the
heathen masses in the persuasion of the Truth.
- Therefore, I wish the men in
every place to pray, raising up hands purely, without wrath or debating.
The reverent wife’s behavior*
- In the same way also, [I ask
they pray for] the wives, [to be] in orderly long vestment, to
adorn themselves with modesty and soundness of mind — not with fancy
braids, or gold, or pearls, or extremely expensive clothing —
- Instead, with that which
is appropriate to wives professing fear of Yâ-hwéh: through good works!
- Let a wife learn in quietness
in all subordination.
- But I do not allow a wife to
instruct, nor to assume authority over the husband, rather to be in
peace,
- For ’Âthâ´m
was formed first, then Chauwâ´h;
- And ’Âthâ´m
was not deceived, but the wife,
having been deceived, has come to be in transgression. [Genesis 3: 13]
- But she shall be delivered by
the hand of the Seed she bore, [Genesis 3: 15, To
the Galátas 4: 4] if they stay in persuasion and affectionate
love, and purification, along with being of sound mind —
Chapter 3
- the Word [Yâhuwshúa`]
is reliable.
Screening guidelines for prospective Elders
¶ If
anyone reaches for an office of an Elder,
he is desirous of a work of virtue.
- Therefore it is necessary for
the Elder to be irreproachable, a husband of one woman, sober,
well-tempered, orderly, hospitable to strangers, apt to teach,
- Not given to wine, not violent,
instead appropriate, peaceable, not loving silver,
- Virtuously presiding before his
own house, holding his children in subordination with all
honorableness,
- Now if one does not understand how
to preside before the house of his self, how shall he take care of the
convocation of Yâ-hwéh?
- Not a newly planted pupil,
lest becoming swollen with pride, he might fall into the crime of
the Accuser (pride and rebellion).
- And it is necessary for him to
also have a testimony of virtue from the ones outside, lest he may fall
into ridicule, and the trap of the Accuser.
Screening guidelines for prospective Attendants
- Attendants, in
the same way, necessarily should be venerable, not saying different
words to different people, not given over to excessive wine, not greedy of
dishonest gain,
- Maintaining the secret of the
persuasion in a cleansed conscience.
- And these also, let them first
be proved, and then let them attend, being unaccused.
- Their wives, in the same
way, necessarily should be venerable, not accusers, sober,
trustworthy in all things.
- Let the attendants be husbands
of one wife, ruling his
children, and his own house virtuously.
- For those who have attended
virtuously acquire for themselves a grade of dignity (degree), and
much confidence in the persuasion which is in the Anointed
Yâhuwshúa`!
Reason Páulus wrote these criteria and charges
- ¶ As I hope to come before you
more quickly, I write these things to you…
- …in order that, even if I
should delay, you might discern how it is necessary for one to
behave in the house of Yâ-hwéh, which is the convocation of ’Ël-Châ´y (the living Mighty One), to be a
pillar and support of the Truth.
- And admittedly great is the
secret of the reverence of Yâ-hwéh, Who was manifested in the flesh,
yet was declared righteous by the Spirit, and Who was
gazed at by envoys yet He was proclaimed among the heathen masses, and Who was trusted within the
world though He was ascended in honor.
Chapter 4
Prediction of today’s apostasy
- ¶ But the Spirit speaks
outspokenly that in latter seasons, some shall instigate to revolt from
the persuasion, giving heed to misleading spirits and instructions of gods
- Deceiving by the
fakery, speaking the Lie, their own conscience being cauterized:
- Hindering to marry, instructing to abstain
from meats, which Yâ-hwéh created for partaking with thanksgiving
for the persuaded, and who acknowledge the Truth.
- Because every creature of Yâ-hwéh is virtuous, and not even one is to be rejected, if it is being received with thanksgiving,
- For it is purified through Yâ-hwéh’s Word with
supplication. [Deuteronomy 12:
15-16]
Advice for Timótheos, the attendant,
How to run a convocation:
Which Way to go
- ¶ Laying these things out
before the brothers, you will be a virtuous attendant of Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed, being grown firm for
the Words of the persuasion, and of the virtuous teaching which you have
closely followed.
- Yet reject the heathenish myths of old wives, and exercise your
self towards the reverence of Yâ-hwéh,
- For bodily exercise is profitable for a little benefit,
but reverence is profitable for everything, possessing a promise of life,
of the present and of the coming life!
- The Word [Yâhuwshúa`: “Yâ-hwéh is deliverance/wealth”] is
reliable and worthy of the acceptance of all;
- Which is why for this Word,
we both labor and are reproached, because we have confidence on the living Mighty
Ones, Who is the Deliverer of all sons of ’Âthâ´m, particularly of believers.
- Charge these things and
instruct them!
Instructions on leadership
- Let no one look down on your
youthfulness; rather be a pattern for the believers in expression, in
conduct, in affectionate love, in persuasion, in cleanliness.
- Until I come, apply yourself to
reading, to encouraging, and to instructing.
- Do not be careless of the gift
within you, that which was given to you through predicating and amid
the laying on of the hand of the eldership.
- Ponder about these things; be
within them, in order that your progress may be apparent among all.
- Pay attention to your self and
to the instruction, continue on in them, for performing this, you shall
save both your self and those who heed you.
Chapter 5
- Do not scold an elder, instead implore them as a father, younger men as
brothers,
- Elder women as mothers, and younger
women as sisters, within all cleanliness.
Instructions on benevolence criteria
- Esteem widows that are really desolate:
- But if any widow has sons or grandsons, let them first learn to show respect to
their own house and to render recompense to those parents, for this is a virtue also acceptable in the sight
of Yâ-hwéh.
- Now she, who really is a widow and left alone, has her
hope on Yâ-hwéh and perseveres in
supplications and prayers night and day. [e.g. Luwqá’
2: 36-38]
- But she who lives for pleasing
herself, is dead while living.
- So charge these things
in order that they may be irreproachable.
- And if anyone does not provide
for his own and his particular household, he has denied the
persuasion and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Enroll a widow not less than
sixty years old, having been a wife of one man,
- Being testified to in works of
virtue: whether she raised children, whether she was hospitable to
strangers, whether she washed the feet of the pure ones [Yâhuwchânâ´n 13: 14],
whether she helped the oppressed, or whether she followed His
example in every good work.
- But decline younger divorcees, for when they may have become unrestrained against the
Anointed, they wish to marry,
- Having a crime that they have
rejected their first reliance [Law of the husband: 1
Qorinthíym 7: 11, To
the Romans 7: 2-3].
- And at the same time also they
learn to be idle, going around the houses, and not only idle,
rather also to be gushingly excessive talkers and busybodies,
speaking things they shouldn’t.
- Therefore I will for younger
widows to marry, to bear children, to own their house, to give not
even one opportunity to the adversary, on account of slander.
- For already some are turned away backwards by the Adversary.
- If any believing man or
believing wife has desolate ones, let him/her help them and let the
convocation not be burdened, in order that it may help those who are
really widows.
Instructions on elders
- Let those elders, who preside
virtuously, be deemed entitled of double payment, especially those laboring within the
Word and instructing,
- For the scripture says:
“You shall not muzzle an ox while he threshes the grain.”
[Deuteronomy 25: 4]
and:
“…for the workman is deserving of his food” [Luwqá’
10: 7]
- Do not admit a complaint
against an elder, aside from unless it was on the word of two or
three witnesses. [Deuteronomy 17: 6]
- But those elders who do sin, convict
in the sight of all, in order that the rest also may have fear!
- I earnestly testify, in the
sight of the Mighty One and of the Sovereign Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed
and His chosen envoys, that you should keep these things without prejudice, doing nothing according to favoritism.
- Do not impose authority quickly over any one elder, nor share
in the sins with other elders; keep your self clean!
How to avoid traveler’s diarrhea
- ¶ Due to your stomach and your
frequent infirmities, do not drink water any longer; instead, use a little
wine.
More on screening prospective elders
- ¶ The sins of some sons of ’Âthâ´m
are obvious, leading to a decision beforehand, yet some also will follow
the Way afterwards.
- In the same way also, the good
works of some men are obvious, but the ones who are otherwise cannot be hidden.
Chapter 6
Instructions for slaves
- ¶ As many as are under a yoke
of bondage, let them esteem their own masters [sovereigns] entitled of all esteem, in order that the
name of Yâ-hwéh and His instruction not be scorned.
- Even those who have believing
masters, let them not look down on them, because they are brothers;
instead rather let them bondserve them because
they are believers and beloved ones who are being helped by the good
work. Instruct ye these things and encourage them.
Instructions regarding false teachers and materialism
- If anyone instructs
differently, and does not pay attention to those sound words of our
Sovereign Yâhuwshúa` the Anointed, and to His instruction about the
reverence of Yâ-hwéh,
- Then he is swollen with pride, taking note of nothing;
instead, he has a sick craving about disputes and word wars, from
which are generated envy, strife, scorning, harmful suspicions —
- The meddlesomeness of
the sons of ’Âthâ´m, thoroughly rotted in mind and destituted of
the Truth, accustomed to deeming gain to be evidence of proper
reverence. Withdraw from the ones of this sort.
- Yet, our own gain is great, which is proper reverence
with contentedness!
- For we brought nothing into the
world; it is obvious that we are neither able to carry anything
out,
- So having nourishment and
clothing, we shall be satisfied
with these.
- But those wanting to be rich
fall into testing and a trap, and many unwise and injurious desires, which
sink those sons of ’Âthâ´m into ruin and destruction.
- For a root of all of these
evils is the love of silver, which some, reaching out to grasp it
were led astray from the persuasion, and brought on themselves many
sorrows.
- But you, O son of ’Âthâ´m
of ’Elohíym (the Mighty Ones), flee these things and
pursue rectification, proper reverence, persuasion, affectionate love,
perseverance, and humble mildness.
- And wrestle the virtuous
combat of the persuasion. Lay hold on endless life, for which you also
were called and did profess the
virtuous profession in the sight of many witnesses.
ï
Charge: profess
Yâhuwshúa` is Yâ-hwéh until His epiphany
at His coming.
- I charge you in the sight of Yâ-hwéh Who makes all
alive, even the Anointed Yâhuwshúa`, Who testified the virtuous
profession onto Póntius Pilátus:
- Guard ye that commandment [to profess the virtuous
profession] spotlessly,
irreproachably, until the sign above of
our Sovereign Yâhuwshúa` the Deliverer [MattithYâ´huw
24: 30, Disclosure
7: 2],
- Which, in His own feast
seasons, shall show He is the supremely Blessed One and the only
Power, the King of the kings and the Sovereign of the sovereigns!
- He Who alone possesses
immortality, dwelling in unapproachable Light, Whom not one man from the
sons of ’Âthâ´m did see nor that man is capable to look at;
for Whom is esteem, and endless strength, ’Âmë´n (certainly).
Instructions for the rich
- ¶ Charge to those ones rich
within the present age to not be high-minded, nor to have
confidence on the uncertainty of riches, instead to trust on the
living Mighty Ones, Who richly gives over to us all things for our full enjoyment;
- To do good works, to be rich in
works of virtue, to be liberal in distributing, and to fellowship,
- Treasuring up for themselves a
virtuous foundation for the future, in order that they may lay hold on
endless life.
Avoid these Protestant Christian doctrines:
- ¶ O
Timótheos, preserve the deposit [To
the Romans 3: 1-2], avoiding the
heathenish meaningless words, and opposing theories of acknowledging a
false name,
- For those who are proclaiming them
have missed the mark about the persuasion. Favor is with you, ’âmë´n (certainly).

the chief city of Phrugías of the Pakatiané
