The Virgin Birth - a hypothesis

This page was written due to popular demand to make public this proposed hypothetical scientific explanation for this seemingly impossible event, one which can reinforce our belief in the true scriptural account about the virginal birth of the second 'Âthâ´m, the Anointed Yâhuwshúa`.

About sin

Memory has been shown in modern science to be encoded in proteins within cells.  Proteins are products of gene expression; therefore, all man's thoughts are somehow encoded in his gene pool, and these proteins vary in duration and intensity according to his degree of mental involvement in it.  If one merely thinks of something, considers it, obsesses about it, or acts it out, this increases this protein's duration and effect on the cells.  Logically, sin also gets encoded as a protein and varies in degree of expression the same way.  Sin proteins will have a damaging effect on the cells and their genetic material, explaining the link between sin and illness noted in scripture.  Yâ-hwéh shall eliminate all such erroneous proteins, such as false doctrines, from our minds.  How would He explain this simply to His pupils?  Speaking about the false doctrines of the Pharisees (Phrushiym), He said:

Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.

Plants are products of DNA expression, just like sin-proteins are.  And Yâ-hwéh did not plant sin in us, Satan did, and Yâ-hwéh has sworn to undo all the works of Satan.  But how was the uncorrupt Highest of the high to be born a human being while avoiding not just sinning, but also avoiding the original sin of 'Âthâ´m?

A female genetic time-capsule shielded against corruption

A buccal smear is obtained by scraping the inside of the cheek and smearing a glass slide with it.  Under a light microscope, it is possible to determine whether the subject who gave the smear was male or female by the absence or presence of a Barr body, a dark ball found in the nucleus of the cell.  The Barr body is an unused chromosome, specifically the extra X chromosome which females carry.  Females have two X chromosomes and males have an X and a Y chromosome.  Have you ever wondered why He would design it this way, that women would have a redundant X chromosome that stays unused, balled up this way?  Scientists look down on this kind of reasoning, of having a foregone conclusion and proving it backwards, calling it teleology, though they do take this approach with their pet atheist hypothesis of evolution.

A chromosome that is actively being used will not be visible by light microscopy in cells because they are unwound and active.  In this state, they are vulnerable to damage.  A balled up unused chromosome like the Barr body, if uncorrupted, remains uncorrupted.  Modern geneticists will tell you that the decision of which X chromosome gets balled up into a Barr body is “random”, and that females often are mosaics of one or the other X chromosomes.  The truth is nothing is ever random.  Yâ-hwéh knows what happens and determines what happens.  So, is it so hard to imagine that Yâ-hwéh could have kept Chauwâ´h's (Eve's) pure uncorrupt X chromosome balled up and unused in Barr bodies in women from her until Miryâ´m (“Mary”)?  Plus with its mission having been accomplished, there is no need now for every Barr body to be uncorrupted; therefore it may indeed be random now or in other women!

Original sin

All the sons of 'Âthâ´m are subject to death because of the original sin.  This sin's protein apparently has the damaging effect of aging and death.  Apparently its damaging effect would not have extended to the Barr body X in Chauwâ´h (Eve), since it was balled up and unexpressed.  No other chromosome was thus inactive, all the others were active and got corrupted. Logically, since otherwise there would be no need to keep an uncorrupted version of the X chromosome, we propose the original sin's genetic source is on the other X chromosome, which we will call a “corrupt X”.  This being so, all male X's would have to be “corrupt X's” and all women would also have to carry those “corrupt X's” expressed, since all have sinned.  (This page is not primarily to argue whether it is passed on, since scripture amply shows that to be so.)

The Seed of Woman

And Yâ-hwéh the Mighty Ones said to the woman, “What is this you did?”  And the woman said, “The serpent, he deceived me, so I ate.”  And Yâ-hwéh the Mighty Ones said to the serpent, “Because you did this, you are being cursed above all of the livestock and above all of the animals of the field: on your belly you shall crawl and you shall eat dust all the days of your life; and I will put enmity between you and between the woman and between your seed and between her Seed: He shall crush your head, and you, you shall strike His heel.”  To the woman He said, “I shall surely increase your pain when bearing your children, in pain you will bear sons, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he, he shall rule over you.”

14. And 'Âthâ´m was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, has come to be in transgression.  [Genesis 3: 13]

15. But she shall be delivered by the hand of the Seed she bears, [Genesis 3: 15], if they stay in persuasion and affectionate love, and purification, along with being of sound mind -

4. But when the completion of the time came, the Mighty One dismissed His own Son, come from a woman, come by the Law,

5. In order that He might ransom the ones under the Law, in order that we might receive the adoption.

Note that Yâ-hwéh calls His Anointed the Seed of Woman.  Why is this?  Because women of the maternal ancestral line of the Anointed carried genetic material that was not carried by men, which was key to the conception of the Anointed by a virgin, without the corrupting effect of a son of 'Âthâ´m's input.  This female genetic material not shared with man within the ancestral line of the Anointed had to be the Barr body.

Female egg-forming cells (oogonia) are diploid, like normal human cells

All the egg cells (oocytes) that a woman will ever ovulate are replicated and developed up to metaphase II within the female ovary while the baby female is still within her mother's uterus.  These oogonia are diploid and not haploid as mature oocytes are.  This means they have two pairs of each chromosome just like normal cells, and remain wound up and intact.  The reason for this happening in utero while the baby female is still immersed in amniotic fluid is to reduce the mutagenic effects of cosmic radiation.  Normally when these oogonia undergo their meiosis development, they become haploid in order to combine with the male haploid sperm to become a new diploid conception.  A male Y sperm will beget a male, and all Yâ-hwéh had to do is make sure that in Yâhuwshúa`'s lineage, those would only fertilize a female egg containing a “corrupt X”.  A male X sperm will beget a female, and it will always be a “corrupt X” sperm since (teliologically) males other than the Anointed all carry the original sin. So therefore we can also predict that the sex of the baby will not be determined randomly, by which sperm happens to swim faster, but by whether the X in the oocyte is an uncorrupt X or a corrupt X, because a Y sperm will only fertilize a corrupt X egg, and not an incorrupt X egg. Thus the explanation about why scriptures describe women determining the sex of the baby. However nowadays, there is no more need for an incorrupt X, and it may be ancient history by now. But how did the Anointed get an uncorrupt X, and a Y?

Yâ-hwéh's Force is our source of life, on loan.  Sin kills us but Yâ-hwéh holds us together and alive, holding our damaged genetic material together until our lifespan is up.  But the original sin does not allow us to live more than 1,000 years ("...but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you must not eat from  it, because on the day (1,000 years) you eat from it, you shall surely die.").  Yet if a man would have kept all the Law, that man shall live.  We know from scripture that only the Anointed Yâhuwshúa` did this, plus He did not carry the original sin as He was the second 'Âthâ´m and being born of a virgin, so He did not receive a male corrupt X.  But how did Yâhuwshúa` use the uncorrupt Barr body X, and where did His Y come from?

The male-less virginal conception

Believe it or not, this is the simple part: Yâ-hwéh's Force overshadowed Miryâ´m and, within the chosen one of her diploid oogonia in metaphase II (see above), He withdrew His support of the corrupt X, allowing it to spontaneously dissolve.  Then He took the genetic material from that dissolved X and constructed a new Y chromosome.  The uncorrupt Barr body X passed down from Chauwâ´h ("Eve") was then used for the first time.  Then He stimulated this new diploid XY cell to ovulate and replicate by mitosis, not meiosis, without ever becoming haploid.

And Yâ-hwéh added, speaking to ’Âchâ´z, saying, “Request for yourself a Sign from Yâ-hwéh your mighty Ones, made deep to Sh’ówl, and made exalted to the heights!””  But ’Âchâ´z said, “I will not request it so I will not test Yâ-hwéh.”  And he [Yshá`Yâhuw] said, “Listen now, O house of Dâwíth, Is it insufficient for you to tire out men, as you wish to also tire out my mighty Ones?  Therefore, my Sovereign will give Himself over to you [plural: house of Dâwíth and Yâhuwthâ´h] for a sign [Luwqá 2: 34, Nikódemos 16: 2]: Look!  The virgin<sup>(1)</sup> [of Yisrâ’Ë´l<sup>(2)</sup>] ] is pregnant and is bearing a Son, and she will call His name`Immâ´nuw ’Ël (The Power with us).

(1)LXX: parthenos, meaning virgin, reflecting an earlier truer text.  The Masoretic version has the nonspecific `almâ´h, which means young woman, an apparent alteration to the text.

(2) This interpretation relates to Yâ-hwéh contrasting ’Ephráyim, early adulterous Yisrâ’Ë´l, as a woman that will NOT raise Him (verse 7).

But Miryâ´m said to the envoy:

“How shall this be, since I do not know a man?”

And responding, the envoy said to her:

“The Spirit of the Pure One shall be come upon you and the Force of the Highest to overshadow you, wherefore also the Pure One procreated shall be called the Son of the 'Ël [the Mighty One].

Also, look at  'Eliyshéva` your relative: she also has conceived a son in her old age, and this one is the sixth month for her who was called `sterile'!

Because with Yâ-hwéh [He causes to be/ exist] there shall not be anything impossible.”

How His sinlessness let Him live though He died

Therefore, the Anointed carried only the X uncorrupt from the original sin, and a new Y chromosome, and a completely undamaged gene pool.  By maintaining a lifetime completely free from sin, He kept this gene pool uncorrupt, and unable to die genetically.  This explains why His flesh did not see corruption while in the tomb.  Though Yâhuwshúa` had died a medical death (heart stopping), He never died a genetic cell death, and His Goodness, the 'Ël (Power) we worship, raised Him from the dead.
